Non Profit Status

The Market Foundation was established in 1982 and is a private, nonprofit corporation governed by a community board.

In our most recent audited fiscal year, 80% of our revenue came from individual and business donations while the remainder was earned income. We spent 10% on administration and 13% on fundraising; 77% went to programs serving low-income people in the Market.

We currently employ 5 full-time staff members.

Our tax status is 501c3.
